Glasner is set to become the club’s fifth managerial appointment within twelve months when he oversees Forest’s opening Premier League fixture against Leeds United this weekend.
He assumes the role against a backdrop of a turbulent 2025/26 season during which Marinakis implemented four alterations to the coaching staff before the team secured survival by the narrowest of margins.
Nevertheless, Glasner arrives at the City Ground having guided Crystal Palace to the first two significant pieces of silverware in the club’s history, earning him considerable respect from Sherwood.

Should the owner begin shifting benchmarks throughout his tenure, Sherwood suggested this would be inappropriate.
